MINZ consists of two M.C.''s L.D & RED-MONEY but has several members. LD&RED-MONEY grew up on the same block in south jamaica https://www.tradebit.com&RED-MONEY started rhyming together in 1993 on Lakewood Ave. At the time they were hustling, blowin L''s,& just toyin around the flows. People around the way were always telling them that they were "nice" with it. In 1994 they formed MINZ and started going to https://www.tradebit.com''s studio on Archer ave in queens with producer Brandon (Beat Don) to start recording songs.
Their first song was called "DAMN". The song got a good response so they went on to record several more songs. Buddy from the R&B group INTRO(also LD''s nephew) entered MINZ into a showcase at Camie Hall in New York City. The showcase went very well and several Labels were impressed. Since they were not focused and continued their streetlife, MINZ was at a standstill.
In 1997, MINZ was set back further due to the incarceration of Red-Money. LD never lost the love for the music so he kept writing and exchanging lyrics with Red- Money throughout his bid.
When Lance Feurtado (well known 7crown member) was released from prison in 2004, he started working on a documentary about his brothers and himself entitled "Kings of Kings". The documentary also had a soundtrack which LD landed a song on called "Hats Off"(produced by Crownlife out of VA).
In 2005 Red-Money was released from prison. MINZ immediately re-grouped and started working on their first project entitled "The Code"(which was also produced by Crownlife). Currently, they are completing their second project entitled "Back To Basixs" (produced by Brandon also know as "Beat Don").
