Details:
Bill Evans once released an album called :Conversations
with Myself" in which he over-dubbed piano on to his own
piano playing. Playing both piano and bass, Naim Satya has
put together some of his favorite song. Left in the studio
alone he has produced this CD of musical excitement.
These tracks have a feeling between the instruments that
you don''t often hear. Taking his time putting this CD
together, Naim shares with you his joy in making music.

Naim started piano lessons at the age of seven, and at the age of eleven took up the trombone. He became student director of the junior high school band
and decided he should know how to play all the band instruments.
He played solo chair trombone in the stage band and recorded his first record from their talent show. He began playing bass in high school and continued playing trombone in school bands and orchestra groups, from dance music to classical venues. He went on to study music formally at Long Beach Jr. College. In the army he committed his study to bass and piano and being stationed in the San Francisco Bay area he was immersed in the wealth of jazz venues available and participated in many jam sections with the city''s best.
He became dedicated to Jazz when he heard his first big band music and later when he heard John Coltrane, who became his Mentor. Other influences for Naim were Bobby Darrin, Miles Davis, Paul Chambers, Ron Carter, Elvin Jones and James Brown.

Bassist Naim Satya has been a well established jazz musician for thirty-five years in the San Francisco Bay Area. In recent years having come back to the art form, he has found joy and pleasure in playing in this trio

"Space is a rare commodity and it''s a shame to always have it filled up with some kind of sound." Naim Satya

Pianist
Naim Satya is band leader for Jazz Philosophy

Jazz Philosophy is an eclectic musical experience, bringing together the finest Bay Area musicians. Playing rhythmically and harmonically complex Be Bop, sensitive interpretations
of Jazz standards and adventures into the music of Bob Marley and The Beatles. Intense Latin and Brazilian Samba pulse as well as relaxing Bossa Novas round out the total experience of Jazz Philosophy

During my time playing in the Bay Area I have shared the stage with many artist who are little known and stars, they include the likes of:
