After many years of covert operations in the underground world of Hip-Hop, spawns an answer to the most commonly asked question…
Is Hip-Hop dead?

NO! is clearly the answer upon being introduced to “The New Phenomenon” Noyeek the Grizzly Bear. Is there really an artist that can satisfy every one of your moods and emotions, while staying conscious of the over saturated commercial rap that has nearly wiped away the meaning of what Hip-Hop is?

Yes!!

Noyeek is Hip-Hop’s breath of fresh air

Noyeek was born Keeyon Raspberry in the queen city of Buffalo, N.Y. It was there he was introduced to hip-hop and made an instant connection. Making mix tapes, beat-boxing, break dancing, free-styling, and keeping up with the latest hip-hop music and fashion was just who Keeyon was. Church, school plays and orations gave him an early dose of the stage and performing in front of large crowds.

At age 8, Noyeek moved from Buffalo, NY to Staten Island, NY. He attended Curtis HS with close friend Killah Sin of Killarmy. After his junior year of HS, Noyeek moved to Northern Virginia and graduated from Mount Vernon HS. There he met fellow hip-hip lovers Needles & Speck. The three formed Gifted Ingenuity (GI’s) after leaving Dead Poet Society (DPS). Soon after, the group (GI’s) was signed to Mercury Records. GI’s were the first underground hip-hop act signed to a major label from the northern VA area. After a year or two passed without any success with Mercury Records, the group disbanded and each member went there separate way.

He was later asked to join the DC power house group “Infinite Loop (IL)”. After finishing a long anticipated double album, the group disbanded and each member went their separate way.

Things didn’t work out with either group but the experience and development fueled Noyeek to start his solo journey. Although working on solo projects, IL members Noyeek and Head-Roc began performing as a duo. They later added DJ Eurok and are now known as “The War Machine”. Noyeek also formed another group called “The Package” with fellow IL members Dimensions and Theory.

Noyeek feels it is his sole responsibility to provide Hip-Hop lovers with something they can feel, love and relate to. He is currently pushing his freshman, independently released album “Face Crunch” while working on his highly anticipated sophomore project “Purgatory”, which is near completion.

You’ve seen him perform with the Infinite Loop, The War Machine and The Package - now it is time to experience “The New Phenomenon” Noyeek the Grizzly Bear. The animal has awakened from hibernation.
