Details:
Richard Wolfe has been playing music since the age of 10 when he was taught to play guitar by his father R.L. Wolfe and has worked with Johnny Bush, Johnny Rodriguez , Fiddlin Frenchie Burke and Ray Price to name a few and has moved on to his very own successful solo career .

Throughout the career of Richard, there has always been an unwavering devotion to the traditional roots of country music... even though at times it seemed a losing battle... he held strong to that which touched his heart strongest... keepin'' it TRULY country!!!

To master one''s craft is a gift indeed, but to be one of the elite amongst your peers is known in the music world as a "musicians'' musician" and that is exactly what Richard Wolfe has spent years becoming. The versatility of his voice, talent of guitar and entertaining and unwavering dedication to the classic country sound are undeniable traits of the man behind the music...now listen and learn of the music behind the man.

"Fiddlin'' Frenchie Burke" says,

"Even on an off day Richard "Wolfie" Wolfe can out-fiddle,
out-guitar, and out-sing just about anybody in the business. Don''t take my word for it, just add this to your collection and enjoy!!"

There were so many highlights throughout the compilation of this project... but, some of the moments have become treasured memories that will forever be close at heart. The musician billing in itself is an honor for any artist, yet there is so much more to the creation of an album that is often overlooked... most of which being the specs of one''s soul that are left upon the music... almost as if to look after the "life" of the melody in which he has created. A few of these amazing moments would be, of course, the legendary Wynn Stewart, and his priceless influence and direction that he shared on "Sing a Sad Song", which allowed Richard to become part of an elite few that had been blessed before him...for the same song was given by Wynn to Merle Haggard which enabled Merle his first number one record... but not before it was given to Charlie Harris, a classic crooner whose soulful rendition of this classic hit will never be forgotten.

Then, of course, there are the writers'' from which many of the great tunes came. Jo Bredeson gave Richard "Me and Old Grandad", which goes without saying it''s pure country roots... and before Johnny Bush did his own version of "Stand By Me", he sent it to Richard for his undeniable signature mark of which only the true pioneers share. Vern Stovall... Don''t know the name? You know the accomplishments... he was responsible for giving us Elvis Presley''s "Long Black Limosine", and also for giving Charlie Harris "Deepin the Heart of Anne", which he also offered to Rich. But his contribution to this album was "That''s My Baby", one of the best waltzes to come along in a good while. Now, for the the title cut, we have to thank Larry Anderson... a San Antone native, and brother to classic country artist Bailey Anderson.
