Scott Callender is the author/songwriter of Impart the Passion. Scott was born in 1971 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Scott began to take interest in music at a young age. His first piano lessons were with his grandfather at the age of 11. He took up some more lessons at Geneva College at the age of 19. This is where he also began a ministry which later came to be known as the Upper Room Fellowship. It was in this ministry that he first began to lead worship. Shortly after, Scott also began to help leading worship with the youth program at Greater Works Outreach full gospel church. He eventually moved on to join the praise and worship team for GWO in 1992, and served as the church Music Minister from 2000-2004. At around the beginning of the year in 2000, Scott began to feel the stirring of the Holy Spirit to produce a CD. After receiving confirmation about his songwriting, he began to act on what God put inside him. In a very short time, God poured out a host of songs through Scott. Shortly after he finished Impart the Passion project, which includes 11 powerful songs of praise and worship. In November of 2004, Scott then moved on to lead worship at Rainbow Temple Assembly of God, where he leads worship today. Scott is currently working on a new Impart the Passion recording project which will include more original praise and worship music. Scott was married on January 31st 2004 to his lovely wife Breanna, and has a newborn son Benjaman. They reside in the Pittsburgh area.
