The Tonellis started out in the bedroom, moved to the basement, then the garage. After years of homemade masterpieces, they finally made it into the studio. The band consists of Scott May, Scott Palmiter and Robert Stoppenbach with the help of some of Chicago''s finest musicians. The songs are new, but they will worm their way into your brain. The following are responses from listeners to the album:
"Finally...an ear for melody....." from BROOKLYN, NEW YORK
"Really nice work on the vocal melodies. A rarity that someone understands what it takes to make a melody that sticks. Production is really nice...strings/keys are nice, guitars are tasteful...it sounds like everyone is playing for the song...Cheers to you!!"
"Man....I LIKES!" from FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA
"This songs just kick me so good in so many places." Guitars are simple but purposeful. The melody and chorus are just so f***ing catchy that I''m now going to be humming this in my head all day and possibly all month. Production is beautiful, well balanced and smart...all the way down to the fade out. This songs are worth listening to again and again. Thanks for this."
"Awesome" from COLUMBUS, OHIO
"Wow. I love these songs. They reminds me of the Pernice Brothers & REM & the Beatles with super original vocals (kinda reminds me of Jeff Lynne''s stuff with ELO). Chord progressions are very good, extra instrumentation isn''t just there to be there, but they add to the songs & create a nice americana feel to the songs. Love the drums/percussion. The songs are perfect as is, don''t change a thing."
