Details:
Latin recording artist, Veronica Lopez, is affectionately called “Chaparita” for her diminutive stature, charismatic personality and colossal voice. Since the age of 7, when Veronica began singing Mariachi style music at her family’s restaurant in the San Fernando Valley, CA she has performed around the world at cultural events, fairs, festivals, rallies, corporate functions and private parties.

In 2007, Veronica added an Inspirational Tour to her repertoire of singing, songwriting, and acting. Her appearances, which typically consist of Veronica singing her original songs, accompanied by live music and a multi-media presentation, have become popular with Christian churches during their weekend services, and with their women’s groups of adults and teenagers. During her engagements with civic organizations, in addition to her musical presentation, Veronica uses humor, music, heartfelt stories, images captured on video, and her own personal experiences to explore family, women’s roles, and a variety of other issues that cross the boundaries of gender. Veronica’s slogan for this Tour is “changing the world, one song at a time.”

To coincide with this Tour, Veronica has combined her musical talent with inspirational and spiritual thoughts to create songs for a new CD, set for release later this year. “Reflections,” in the adult contemporary genre, is set to be a compilation of original songs designed to both awaken consciousness and heal hearts. “Take Me Away,” featured on the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund CD is receiving airplay nationwide and on the worldwide web. “Just Imagine,“ with its own music video, recently nominated in Toronto for Best Christian International song, is meant to raise awareness about the plights of homeless . Her newest release, “Toxic Fashion” explores teen social issues in relation to the media, specifically those related to the self-image of teenage girls.

In terms of singing, Veronica’s extensive range, style, and passion for her craft have been compared to that of popular vocalist Jackie Valazques and the late Tejano singing sensation, Selena. In 2003 and 2004, Veronica released two CDs of Spanish music, mostly original songs, toured, and appeared on TV Azteca, TeveAmerica, Univision, Telemundo and other television stations in the United States and Mexico. Her music continues to get airplay on well over 100 radio stations in the United States and Mexico, Italy, Canada, Australia and Asia.

Veronica is highly regarded for performing “The National Anthem” for cultural, community and sporting events nationwide. Also, often requested is her original ballad, “Gloria de America” (translated “America’s Glory”) which she performs in Spanish and English.

Veronica’s ability to touch the hearts of both English and Spanish speaking fans has drawn attention to her talent as a crossover singer/songwriter in both m
