Details:
It all began a night of September, a few years ago, in a lousy pub outside Milan. Do you know the kind of pub you''d never take your date to? Got it. That night Lex, a Gnostic internet-addicted geek whose favourite word was "equilibrium", and Iori, a weirdo talking all the time about how sugar gliders were supposed to become the dominant specie, were by fate at the same table. They spent hours about every band on the planet, strange marsupials, comics, porn and how pop At the Gates'' songs were. They ended up drunk-kissing each other...no, wait, that''s a whole different story, and I''m not sure I want to tell you. Or you want to know. Whatever. They decided to form a band together. Lex at that time was playing guitar in a band called "Black Elements Of Surgery", and he called Iori to the guitar duty, so he could switch to vocals. Other members were the vocalist/bass player Gabriel (ex-Arkenemy, now EastArea) and Dj Chris. The band decided to replace drum machine with a "human" drummer, so Iori asked to join S.T.I.G.M.A , his trustworthy fake-Zionite sidekick, since they played together in several crappy-high school bands. Unluckily, even this line-up didn''t last long, in fact Gabriel decided to leave, since he wasn''t comfortable with the band''s musical direction. So the band started searching for a new bass player. Luckily they ended up meeting in the Milan club scene Karyl, and suddenly they decided that he suited perfectly. In the beginning they decided to take him in the band ''cause he was good looking and he lived nearby Lex, so he could give him lifts to the rehearsal (but don''t tell him that), but very soon they discovered he was a good player and a great friend. A few time after Karyl joined, Chris literally disappeared. No one of the band managed to hear from him, and this was really a bad strike for BEOS'' existence. Lex, Iori, https://www.tradebit.com. and Karyl decided to start from scratch, they evolved their music in a more "Song-oriented" direction, and finally decided to change the band''s name. Xternals were born. Their first 4-tracks promo EP,"Cheap Korean Porn"was a powerful mix of thrashing guitars, breakbeats, techno patterns and vocals going from caressing whispers to the fiercer screams; the EP was followed by positive reviews and succesful gigs in some of the main clubs in the Milan area. From the beginning Xternals struggled to find a fulltime member to take care of electronics and the frequent lineup changes were slowing down the band too much; one night Lex was in the usual club, usually drunk, complaining about that with everyone. Thanks to the enourmous quantity of vodka&Gatorade in his body, he ended up asking the club’s bartender out of the blue if he wanted to join the band, since nobody seemed to fit. The problem was that the bartender tought he was serious and the day after the band found him in the reharsal room: that’s how Duke H. entered Xternals. On December 2007 the band released CKP’s sequel, ”The Yesod Recordings”; Xternals’ music has become more aggressive, with darker atmospheres, massive use of electronics and an even more wide vocal range and catchier refrains, giving birth to 4 Trance-Metal tracks that will stick to your head like never before.
