Rudy Kardos began vocalizing at Turtle Creek High School, a Pittsburgh suburb with a group named The Four Dukes. This is
the same school that the famous Vogues attended. We performed at local night spots and completed a demo of three songs. In 1985 Rudy joined a Pittsburgh area R&B group The Laurels as a bass singer and recording ten songs on the R.A.M. label until 1989. Pure Pittsburgh style R&B.
Rudy returned to recording in 1992 as a singer-songwriter under the name of RUDY AND THE PUBS.
