"Dramatic energy...imaginative lyrics, and variety of musical influences...and the occasional jolt of risqué humor...this is spirited, inspiring work." - Jennifer Layton, https://www.tradebit.com

"...I felt that they were playing more ''for'' me than ''to'' or ''at'' me...giving South Carolina yet another band to be proud of." - Brian Dukes, Up & Coming Magazine
In December of 2002, the Exactus family suffered a tragic loss when their dear friend, Jonathan Birdnow (affectionately known as the Porno Bird), passed away in a freak theatre accident in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The feelings of hurt and anger that resulted from the Porno Bird''s premature exit from this earth all culminated in a new, full-length record entitled "The Trials of Roy (And the High-Flying Adventures of the Porno Bird)".

The new album from the Charleston, SC based quartet is a celebration of life and music and has helped Exactus, who formed in the Summer of 2000, come to grips with their identity in the fickle world of popular music. "With all that''s happened in recent months, I think as a band we finally have a common goal and a new dedication to our music, our fans and to each other," Lead Singer K.B. Reidenbach said while reflecting on the recording of Exactus'' new album.

The common goal that Reidenbach speaks of is getting their brand of honest, yet fun, radio-friendly rock and roll heard by the masses across the country. Already touring the Southeast 10-12 dates per month, Exactus plans on expanding their tour range to incorporate the rest of the United States. The band''s high-energy show, coupled with their knack for great hooks and intoxicating melodies, has already made Exactus one of the hottest tickets in not only their hometown, but also in the eclectic music scenes of Atlanta, Charlotte and Knoxville, TN .

With the March 2003 release of "The Trials of Roy," the band is taking the next step towards healing the wounds from their recent misfortunes, while establishing themselves as a big time player in South Carolina''s already impressive music scene. "I am really proud of this new album and the feelings that went in to making this record," states Reidenbach, "It proves that no matter what, music has the ability to bring out the best in all of us. Right now, we are on a musical high and Exactus is ready to bring the rest of the world along for the ride."
