Details:
A long long time ago in a city dull and gray... a group of drunken ex-girlfriends gathered outside the window of Cleft S. for a midnight serenade of the song "Liar" by the Rollins Band. Cleft embraced this derision and set out to form a music group. He took his love for 50''s doo-wop...along with his spite for the world and set out for revenge. "I shall be king of all low life''s!" he proclaimed. "The Casanova of sleaze!"

Faint of Heart are from Cleveland, OH. They self released their debut album "Kiss and Make-Up" Feb 2004. The singles "One and the Same" and "Cry about it" can be heard on college music stations and internet radio around the globe. Their live shows are a zany cabaret style act. Group has played venues in OH, NY, and PA. Opened for PJ Harvey, Adam Green, ENON, Scissor Sisters, Star Spangles The group has received much acclaim for it''s unique style and a few letters of outrage over lyrics like:

O Darling "You''re just a pretty face to use and throw away"
One and the Same "If your love were a cigarette I would smoke myself to death"

"A delightfully sardonic album. Certainly the type of music that could be appreciated by everyone from eclectic indie-rockers to a more mainstream, commercial audience."

"Belle & Sebastian doing shots of battery acid...an infectious, faux-forlorn romp that conjures tears of laughter, not sadness. Faint of heart shows are among the most entertaining in town."

"Blending 50''s Doo-Wop with modern indie songwriting is really something unique. Their warm summery melodies and layered female harmonies remind me of groups like "Call & Response" and "The Owls."

"Faint of Heart is a debauched doo-wop group that''s equal parts cotton candy and cyanide.
Faint''s blend of pretty three-part harmonies and lovelorn lyrics from the sentimental
smartass Cleft comes across something like Nick Cave backed by the Supremes."

"As far as goofs go, this is a pretty good one. Singer Cleft S. imagines himself as the teen idol from hell. Think Billy Bragg with a touch of Morrissey''s fatalism or Jonathan Richman singing doo-wop."
