Details:
While most teenagers were hanging out during their lunch break, Stefani Guzman was breaking into her high school''s auditorium, playing on its massive stage, preparing.

Since 2001, she has released five CDs independently: first as a solo artist, then as the front woman and songwriter of girly punk band the Hussies, and most recently as indie-folk/rock darling Eastborough.

Stefani, an aggressive guitarist and energetic performer, has happily shared the stage with the Gossip, Cougar Party, DD/MM/YY, For the Mathematics, Lesbians on Ecstasy, Martina Sorbara, Pony Up, Ember Swift, We Are Wolves, Vitamins for You, and Tom Wilson.

She has performed at the Ottawa Folk Festival (Showcase Winner), the Central Canada Exhibition (Showcase Winner), Ladyfest, the acclaimed Women''s Voices Festival and CKCU 93.1 FM''s Live Music Show.

On stage, she is often surrounded by veterans of the Ottawa music scene who mix in a crunchy backline and layer splashes of trumpet, melodica, glockenspiel, cello and moog over non-fiction stories inspired by X’s & O’s and action & consequence.

Her songs “Sleepover with Graham”, Miles Away” and “Brief Encounter” are featured in Tori Fosters’ independent documentary “533 Statements” which won Best Canadian Feature at Toronto’s Inside Out Festival and is currently being screened worldwide.

In October of 2006 Eastborough released a self-titled debut which received exposure from the Ottawa Sun, Live 88.5FM and CKCU 93.1FM. The final product throbs with urgency - four tightly crafted songs hammered out from late night sessions in a smoky farmhouse basement.

With an indie buzz already accredited to the name, Eastborough is currently working on a 2008 full length release which includes the popular and quirky ukulele song "Shuffle & Slide" as well as the haunting "When You Ask" featuring Ken Kaniwasher on the cello.

This is music for the broken hearted, music for seekers, music for lovers... music for sinners.
Eastborough rolls out the sonic bed sheets and invites you in for a romp.
