"I popped the cd in my dashboard on the way. The first thing I thought was this ain''t bluegrass. If I gave this style a name it could be "country blupop." Funny thing, when James handed me a copy of this masterpiece his eyes said it all. "Meet the Rain" has a couple of songs such as "Rain Bird" and "Mary Lou" worthy of a Grassie nomination in 2008.
His music is like...Good!, and is something that gets into that sweet spot in your soul. James has hit a note for many here with what I call a mix of mystical country soul. "Meet the Rain" takes you to many places musically and emotionally filled with surprises and a zesty originality. It is said that the path is narrow and few find it. James you just found it.
