Details:
No definition has been created to describe the sound of Falling Closer. Music that doesn''t fit any one genre but takes pieces from many. Six from Sinematik Industriez said it best "...making mean and pretty music while dodging the trendy or ''popular'' stigmas of who they sound like." Falling Closer''s debut release FACE TO FACE WITH A NEW DAY is exactly that, mean and pretty. The mix of note bending melodies with tasteful screaming has set them apart from everyone they have played with.

FACE TO FACE WITH A NEW DAY was independently released on January 15th, 2005. It is the first full album released by any of the band members, so it is compiled of many years of expression. Jon, Brenton, and Bon have been playing as a band for 8 years, since early in high school. They sifted through many singers until meeting up with Chris Huaraque in March of 2004. What started out as just a side project jamming in a basement, later turned into a regional powerhouse. Falling Closer offers a blend of music that is rare. Some songs are heave, while others will leave a catchy chorus playing in your head for days. Since playing their first show in April of 2004, Falling Closer has played shows with Atreyu, Underoath, Thrice, 36 Crazyfists, Hawthorne Heights, The Bled, Emery, Fallout Boy, Nural, Bleed The Dream, Silverstein, and Avenged Sevenfold. To add to the many signed bands they have played with, Falling Closer has over 200,000 plays online.

After witnessing the band for the first time, the editor of Crave Magazine Robin Steeley wrote, "Falling Closer tore the house down, with their brand of hard edged music full of hook laden choruses and powerful vocals. The music has many melodic elements and a heavy dynamic feel throughout every song. Instrumentation is solid, and the highlight is an incredible range and delivery by their front man."
