Details:
Fast Eddie Music Conspiracy''s second full-length CD, "The Kids Dig It," showcases the band''s ability to blend their individual talents seamlessly in conventional song formats, jam/improv settings and experimental music. This release finds the band exploring more of their interests, possibly a little louder than before, but never abandoning the heavy odd meters, angular melodies and shifting soundscapes that endear them to their listeners. More than ever, if you think you know which instrument is responsible for which sound in a song, listen again -- or better yet, find a way to see them live.
This album has a little of everything for fans of progressive/experimental music who aren''t quite finished with the art of the song. Jam enthusiasts will enjoy "Into the Void" and "Root Canal," while songwriters will put "Please" and "Automatic" on heavy rotation. The more adventuresome will be digging into "Monstrosity" and "In the Name of the Machine." Those who have an axe to grind will find sharpening in "Boot to the Head" and "6 East," but make sure you get a sense of the group''s artistry and humor (beyond the album title) in the closing track, "End Credits."
Fast Eddie Music Conspiracy is Jonesy (bass), Kirby (drums), The Durst (keys) and Jeremy (guitar). They have been playing together in various combinations for over twelve years; previous groups include Uncle Vito, Feedbag and Cookiehead Jenkins. Since their first show on New Year''s Eve 2000, they have progressed from playing basements to opening for national acts. For more information, go to https://www.tradebit.com.
