A collection of songs written and composed by blind singer, songwriter, keyboardist and artist, David Kontra.

This album, which was recorded in digital and analogue formats in three different studios, reveals total diversity from the haunting anthem “Edgar”, to the mellow and melodic “Oh Mother”, to rockers such as “Get Together with Me” and “Tuesday Talk to Me”.

Oh Mother, April Fools, Get Together with Me - Recorded in basement studio, Medina, Ohio. Guitar: Joe Smith, Bill Smucker, Vocals and Keyboards: David Kontra, Piano on Oh Mother: thanks to Jim, (who joined in while on break from his regular job as a piano player on a cruise ship). Also thanks to the other unknown musicians and the unknown girl with her poetic words at the end of “Get Together with Me”.

1. Edgar
A haunting, eerie anthem about the mysterious man in black, who, in the wee hours of every January 19th, celebrates the birthday of Edgar Allen Poe by leaving roses and cognac at his gravesite.

2. Oh Mother
“Mother are you the only one
“tell me, is my father the sun?”
A melodic song about Mother Nature and the molecular connection between life and the Cosmos.

3. Brick Buildings
Using children’s tales to reveal the social problems hiding beneath the surface.

4. Mourning Dove
A warning of how an apathetic and ignorant culture can allow deceitful leaders to foil the future prosperity and freedom of the people.

5. Tuesday Talk to Me
A song about my love.
