Driving Reign is a new original music project from Tina and Stephen Cianci who have been performing in Christian Music for over 10 years.
In the Mid 90s Tina started singing in church and with various Christian bands based in Montreal CA, appearing on two indie recording projects. While in High school Tina was featured in the Montreal Gazette for the performance of her original song "You Can Make a Difference" written for Earth Day Canada 1993. In 1995 while studying in Providence RI she joined the Zion Gospel choir and ensemble as a soloist traveling the East Coast from Florida to Canada. She received airplay on a local Providence based radio station for her recording of "Does he still feel the Nails" by Ray Boltz. In 2002 Tina recorded build a Bridge a 911 tribute song by Corinne Terlecky of Harwington CT. Tina has been playing Keyboards and leading Worship at Calvary Christian Center in New Britain CT since 2002. Tina''s influences are diverse and range from Sheryl Crow to Janet Paschal to Aretha Franklin. These experiences and influences have lead Tina to the development of her soulful and emotionally open style.
Stephen was born in Hartford CT and began playing guitar sophomore year of High school. He listened to artists ranging Robert Johnson to YES to Cream. These artists influenced his playing and in his junior year he formed a classic rock band called Eclipse. He played locally with Eclipse until he had an encounter with Jesus Christ that forever changed His life. As a result of this encounter, in 1992 he sold His guitar, and used the money to enroll at Zion Bible College of Barrington RI. At Zion Stephen was introduced to Gospel music and played the guitar with the Zion Choir and worship Band. While at College he played for several events and ministries including: The New England Worship Conference, Billy Graham Crusades, Benny Hinn Ministries, and the Brooklyn Tabernacle Singers. Steve played on "A night for New England" a jazz/worship fusion project by saxophonist Drew Gambino. From 2002-present Steve has appeared as a guest musician on various independent recording projects, including progressive Christian Hip Hot artists Emissarius https://www.tradebit.com All of these experiences gave Steve a love for Christian music and its diverse modes of expression. Steve has returned to His roots as he is currently playing in a Rock style worship band at Calvary Christian Center of New Britain CT with His wife Tina.
Driving Reign''s self titled debut album is a coming together of the music styles of Tina and Stephen, resulting in a blues rock sound with a modern edge and a passionate Christian message.
