Presently, Matt James has completed his debut album “Spirit of the Music” at Broken Land Studios with extremely talented producer and multi instrumentalist Alex Perez who is also the front man for the band Plaza Toros. “Working with Matt James has been a wonderful experience for me, Matt’s music is very catchy and it has great soul and meaning” says Alex. It was really exciting to watch the crowd chant “I’m a New Yorker” at a Matt James performance at the Groove Lounge in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village.
Performing with Matt James are drummers Eddie Martinez, Telli Gramz, Raf Zero and Peter Sacristan, saxophonist Lawrence Ramsey, bassist and visionary Carl Dennis who gives the music a true groove and producer and guitarist Alex Perez who brings a third dimension to each song.
