First of all, Florida Sessions is Tate Foley (guitar, vocals), Jay Dworsky (congas, bongos, cymbals, tambourine...all at the same time!), and Will Arnold (piano, vocals).
In December of 2003, Florida Sessions was formed after a trip the three had taken down to Florida. They started booking shows at local coffeehouses, where their music was readily accepted and anticipated from show to show. They caught the eye of a university in east central PA during an open mic, and were booked at the university to play, as well as other colleges to follow throughout that school year.
The summer showed the guys a lot, playing at countless area coffeehouses around upstate New York. They decided in June that they would travel back down to Florida - this time for business. They recorded their first full length album, containing both heartfelt and light-hearted songs. The band had so much fun, recording everyday for two weeks.
The guys have gotten so many rave reviews on their easygoing and fun musical style, such as "Florida Sessions is the most fun you can have in public without being pulled over!" - Mike Brewer of Neutral Ground Cafe. "What a great change of pace to see a fun, feel good band, who''s only agenda is playing good music," Mike states. "Florida Sessions has a truly rare and universal sound that few bands have," Melissa Hukill of Elmira College states. This should tell you that the guys have found a musical style that really suits them, as well as one everyone seems to enjoy.
The boys are trying hard to keep their shows going throughout the school year, as they all go to different colleges somewhere along an two hour span. They are busy booking dates throughout Pennsylvania and New York for the summer. They are very excited about their CD release, recorded and produced at miRAGE productions in Hawthorne, Florida by Walter Arnold. They hope everyone likes what they hear!!
