The conception „Bag Of Groovies” is simple: take a jazzband with acoustic instruments, modern grooves out of Jazz, Latin, Funk und Soul - take good care of the quality of compositions and arrangements - and then into the studio, this of course with the best musicians in town. The result is a Crossover „a la carte“, that really has a special flavour, different from the fast-food of our time. In pieces of the leader, of pianoplayer Aaron Wonesh and of bassplayer Uwe Urbanovsky the band really „cooks“ (a.o. Oliver Gattringer-d, Stephan Maass-pc, Christian Havel-g) .
About Martin Fuss:
Born in 1960, his musical education started at the age of 12
with classical clarinet lessons - but shortly after he changed to tenorsax.
He completed his studies at the Conservatory of Vienna (master of arts)
and the Berklee College of Music(Boston/USA).
