Dion Henderson aka, Shorty Show Biz was born on the Southside of Chicago. He was raised in one of the roughest areas on the Westside (3121 W. Madison). Like most black males he grew up without a father figure surrounded by drugs, gang violence and poverty. This environment nourished his love for self expression, which he found in Hip Hop Music. Influenced by his uncle James to develop his own rap talents, Show Biz listen to pioneering Hip Hop artist such as LL Cool J, Run DMC, Big Daddy Kane and Eric B. and Rakim.
At the age of 12 he returned back to the southeast side of Chicago with dreams of becoming a Hip Hop Legend. His loud, clear and aggressive voice matched with his catchy lyrical hooks and flashy showmanship always commands the full attention of any given audience. Through his constant perfection of mastering his talent he has accomplished career milestones such as performing on tour with DMX, opening for 50 Cents, Eve and also performed in showcases for 92.3 radio station in Chicago. Beyond rap he has modeled urban fashion for playboy, appeared in Jet magazine and MTV’s Ja Rule Diary.
His street business savvy and entrepreneurship lead him to establish Heavy Grinderz Entertainment (HGZ) founded in Chicago in 2005, which now has expanded to Atlanta, GA. Currently Show Biz is working on his sophomore album due to be released in 2008. Among other duties as CEO of HGZ, he oversees the development of artist signed under his label, establishing a hit making song writing team, as well as, venturing into the urban clothing design market and film production.
This rapper entrepreneur is well on his way to becoming an entertainment industry mogul supported by a solid team of industry professionals. With street credibility and industry connections Shorty Show Biz has built a solid following that is destine to propel him to superstardom.
