Theresa J started this musical journey with a birthday gift of an electric guitar back in the year 1992. She played in numerous bars and clubs in the Chicago area for many years before life threw a curve ball and she had to refocus her energy to other things.
Going underground for the next 10 years, she focused solely on the art of language and words. When she left Chicago in 2006, she had a suitcase full of lyrics and a deep desire to get back into music. With GarageBand on the computer and a constant flow of lyrics, there was nothing to stop the music.
So for 2008, with the political season on us, she has written and produced the EP WarAlarm. It contains ideas about politics, mixed in with comments on the culture, mixed in with ideas of spirituality and karma. It''s not a blue vs red cd. It speaks to the logic of the middle… the sanity of the purple. And even if you''re fed up with politics, you still might want to give it a listen. It could give you a renewed sense of energy.
