I was born in England in 1962, and since 2001 am living and working in France (my wife is French!). I am not signed to any record label (yet). I compose, arrange , score, play, edit, engineer and cut my own CD''s, in fact the proverbial one-man-band! I use a Korg M1, a Panasonic SX KC 600 Synth, and a Casio CPS 700 digital piano, ( I run out of keys on the other two!) I edit Midi with ''Reason'', running on a 2.6 GHz PC, a SBLive! sound card & running windows XP.
It all began really, when I learned some basic music theory at an early age from piano lessons and later adopted the cello as my instrument during my teens. I have always enjoyed making
music, and with the technology of midi, can play the orchestra from my PC. I enjoy listening to many
different styles of music, with a somewhat classical background of ensemble playing during my school
years but have a large variety of influences, from the great Classical composers, like Beethoven, Mozart, Bach and so on and in my teens through Jean Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Mike Oldfield, and Yanni and as a result , have many different genres in my music collection.
My own music is not categorised into any one genre as the different tracks span many styles, and sounds, but currently all instrumental, except for a few vocal samples. The tracks range from solo classical guitar, through symphonic, and electronic, via contemporary classical, rock, new-age, ambient, and film-style soundtracks.
I feel that instrumental music has a very broad reach, eliminating as it does, the limitations of language.
I hope you like my music!!

"How would you describe my music?"
I asked this question of my wife, who is a real inspiration in my life, and she knows me and my music better than anyone, so I wanted to find out what she really thought. She said at first that it was ''different'', always changing, impossible to put into any single ''Genre'', I asked her to explain a bit more exactly how she perceived my music. She said "Put it on, and I''ll listen and then tell you....", so I loaded the mp3 player with "Sonic Illusions" and we began.
"Creative", "Dreamy" were two more adjectives, that came out. We were listening to the track ''Jerakminov'' a punchy solo piano piece, For her this piece was "Awakening". That seemed good to me! We continued through the album, each track I asked in a different way "What does this track say to you?, each one, having a different style, or sound, and touching various emotions. Then she said "Spiritual! that has to be part of it" so I noted that carefully. We continued, talking and listening, and I explained how I personally ''tested'' my own music on my self as I composed it; I''d work on the piece until I thought I ''d got it as near to what I wanted it to be, and I''d then, get up from the workstation, and set it to play, and just drop on the bed , my eyes closed, and listen to it as thought I''d never heard it before; like in a totally new unit of time. And I would see if the track ''talked'' to me personally enough to make my spine tingle, with a creation of emotion in the music , the harmony, the timbre, timing or a combination of any or all of these things, to physically create that spine-tingling feeling when something touches you deeply, and you sense it, and learn something about yourself that you didn''t know before but you always suspected was true....... "that''s exactly it!" she said, "It''s spiritual Spine-tingling music!"
So there you have it , it''s spiritual spine-tingling music, enjoy the feeling!
