I certainly hope that you do purchase your copy of this "Special" Dedicated" Cd that are more modern Country Music, and in my music come from the heart and have all been Award Winning Song''s that help me to help other people as I continue to work here at home to help as many people as I can with my works.
The songs I have wrote and done here are to her memory as well as my mother’s memory. Virginia Patterson Shifflett Hensley was born in 1932. My mother Lue Grey Shifflett , her cousin was born in October 1934. Although my mother kept Pasty’s music around the house I had no knowledge until a few months ago that she was my cousin. To know such a Great Person like her is and was my kin has inspired me to keep my writing and books and music going even stronger. Everything I do is “Dedicated” to her memory and will always be so. I collect all my Cousin’s works and listen to her music as I sit and write from home.
She is my inspiration and until now I had had no one that I looked up to . I always wondered where my writing and musical art came from. From the hills of Virginia and the Shifflett /Hensley Clan which is my Family. I am Blessed with being the Daughter of Coal Miners and also Appalachian Ancestors from the Hills of Kentucky (Ridner)-(Wagers) and also the Hills Of Virginia (Shifflett) - (Hensley). Our families are the ground foundations that we grew up on. Bluegrass and many other musical songs grown and still going in all the foothills of the Appalachian chains.
A Heritage of strong people who suffered in sorrow and poorness but yet continued to thrive and survive in even the hardest of times. This album is also given to those who worked the Coal Mines and lived and live still in Appalachian Country.
I give you my writings and music in this ten song cd album which has made me proud to say I am a Appalachian Artist and Honor the many people like Pasty and our families who had the strength to bring us all forward into the centuries to carry on our music’s and arts.
