Details:
Robby Hecht''s highly anticipated debut album Late Last Night represents a return to the early 70s golden era of acoustic pop where thoughtful, well-crafted lyrics were blended with timeless melodies to impact mainstream music and culture.

Produced by Lex Price (Mindy Smith) and mixed by Roger Moutenot (Yo La Tengo, Josh Rouse, Roseanne Cash), Late Last Night features guest performances by Mindy Smith, Jeff Coffin, Thad Cockrell, John Deaderick (Patty Griffin, Michael McDonald), Andrea Zonn (James Taylor, Lyle Lovett), and more.

Growing up in a family of performers, Robby says his first musical memories are of his mother''s folk tapes. "We''d be riding in that Pontiac station wagon, and she''d always have something beautiful on. Peter, Paul, and Mary, Judy Collins, Dan Fogelberg… whatever it was, I''d be singing along." Late Last Night proves to be a captivating blend of these influences with tracks like "Alone On A Saturday Night" and "Freight Train Lady."

Robby began writing and performing in local coffeehouses while attending The University of Wisconsin-Madison, developing and pairing his soulful voice and unique finger-style guitar. After spending time living in Paris and San Francisco and performing in a wide range of venues across the United States, he eventually settled in Nashville where he started spending time with a community of like-minded songwriters including Mindy Smith, Thad Cockrell, Julie Lee, and Sarah Siskind.

Robby has since been playing folk/roots festivals and venues across the country, sharing the stage with such legendary artists as Ron Sexsmith, Patty Griffin and John Gorka, garnering comparisons to early James Taylor, Paul Simon, M. Ward and Amos Lee. Like these celebrated artists, Robby Hecht is a unique voice -- one that is stirring, instantly recognizable and truly original.
