So I guess your expecting to hear the typical, "Shannon started playing guitar at age five" or "Shannon was writing songs by age seven" but its time for the truth so here it goes... "Shannon spent the majority of his youth trying to play sports in his athletic older brother''s footsteps. Shannon tried basketball, Shannon tried baseball, Shannon tried soccer, Shannon tried football, Shannon tried roller hockey, Shannon tried skateboarding (he actually learned how to drop in on a half pipe), Shannon tried Ultimate Frisbee, Shannon tried swimming (his dad made him quit once the team started requiring swimers to wear speedos), and Shannon even tried karate (in hope that he might eventually be able to beat up his older brother). Fortunately, somewhere along the line he made the best decision of his life, "Maybe, I should stick to music." This phenomenal decision threw him into multiple different punk rock bands (middle school and high school). Finally, by the time he got to college, he realized it was time to chillax, and thats when he got into writing acoustic music. Now he writes little third-person myspace bios to keep him entertained during boring history classes. Blink 182 (they freaking dominate) is still his favorite band.
