Voted DJ''s Choice Award and Best New Rock Band by 4.5 million surveyed listeners on https://www.tradebit.com, Tom Walker (guitar, vocals, songs), Rick Ippolito (bass, backing vocals) and Dave Drzewiecki (drums, percussion) met in high school in New Jersey. All classically trained musicians and having played in other popular New York area groups, they formed Friday''s Child in 1995. This trio released its debut CD, "Boy Without a Name" in 1997 on its own label, Honeybee Music. They have built a large fan base by continuous touring all over the United States. The band has gained a national and international following via a strong Internet presence, having five songs in the top 20 on https://www.tradebit.com, a major Internet radio station, and using online e-tailers, such as https://www.tradebit.com, https://www.tradebit.com and https://www.tradebit.com, to sell its recordings. As a result, Friday''s Child has been able to help sell out such venues as Webster Hall (NYC), The Bottom Line (NYC), Maxwell''s (NJ) and The Red Lion (NYC), The Iron Horse (Northampton, MA) and other venues all over the country. In addition to touring clubs and colleges, Friday''s Child has been on an innovative in-store tour of the Borders Books and Music chain in 15 states for the last four years. The band direct distributed its CDs to that chain, and the strength of its performance made the band one of that chain''s best selling Indies and its most popular in-store attraction. Friday''s Child released a follow up CD in 2000 entitled "13." Combined with direct sales at shows, through Borders, and via online e-tailers, Friday''s Child has sold tens of thousands of discs to its many devoted fans. Called "power acoustic" by the trade papers, Friday''s Child''s unique blend of poetic lyrics and explosively melodic music has earned the band a reputation as having one of the best live shows on the Indie scene. The band''s fans range in age from 15 to 50 and know every lyric of every single song in Friday''s Child''s three-hour repertoire. In addition to the band''s club/college/Borders tour, Friday''s Child has performed or will perform at several prestigious music festivals over the past six years: such as CMJ and NARAS''s Peekaboo Festival, 2NMC (Nashville, TN 2001), Atlantis Music Conference (Atlanta, GA 2002), USA Songwriting Competition (Altanta, Nashville, Boston, New York 2001 to present), and Dewey BeachFest (Dewey Beach, DE 09/2002).

In 2002, Friday''s Child completed a short tour of the Nashville, TN area, having performed at NAMM 2002 for Taylor Guitars at the Gaylord Arena Conference Center (7/20/2002 at 4 PM), Mapex Drums at the Outer Limit (7/20/2002 at 11 PM), and The USA Songwriting Competition Showcase (7/18/2002, The End). The band recently played a USA Songwriting Competition event at The Atlantis Music Conference, Atlanta, GA (8/3/02, The Red Light Café) and will do another event with their touring partners, Almost Speechless (Springfield, MA) on 10/26/02 at the Elm Street Theater, Somerville, MA. They also performed a showcase at the Dewey Beach MusicFest, Dewey Beach, DE on 09/27/02 at the Dewey Beach Club.

The band has just released a much anticipated live album, "Live at the Goldhawk" at the end of 2002. In support of the new album, Friday''s Child brought together several bands from around the country to play with them in a regional showcase at top venues called The Honeybee Buzz. The Honeybee Buzz, in conjunction with the Le Bar Bat Concert Series, presented a night of top Indie bands at Le Bar Bat (NYC) on November 22, 2002 (7:30 PM to 11:00 PM) as the second installment of the Buzz in the Northeast. Friday''s Child performed with guests, Almost Speechless (Springfield, MA), Secret Gossip (Nashville, TN) and Surrey Lane (NYC).

Friday''s Child''s innovative approach to building following as an Indie lead them to be a featured Indie Artists in Daylle Deanna Schwartz''s 2002 book, "The Real Deal: How to Get Signed to a Record Label, " earning the band respect for dealing with the music business on its own terms.

In Winter 2003, Friday''s Child were guest speakers on a panel of experts on Internet music marketing at the 2003 Folk Alliance Conference in Nashville, TN (Feb. 6 to 9, 2003) and appeared live at a USA Songwriting Showcase and with Secret Gossip at Puffin'' Billy''s.

The band''s partnership with Secret Gossip, Almost Speechless, and Surrey Lane continues, and the Honeybee Buzz is booking successful nights with this line-up all over the country.
