While growing up in Houston in the 1950’s and 1960’s I was fortunate to play in bands and meet a lot of fine musicians. Since then I have kept involved in the music scene, and have been writing for music papers since 1992. I was honored that the band asked me to write the liner notes for this incredible CD. I’ve known Jimmy Joe Long for many years and feel like the two Dons (Don Carroll and Don Lacy) and Charlie Knight have created a bond with us
that covers those many years as well. We have been fans of Jimmy Joe Long & The Little York Road Blues Band for years and attend as many of their exciting live shows as possible. If ever there were four musicians destined to
