A melting pot of musicians (I mean, hell…our drummer’s black), KAGED is not only a band with diverse cultural backgrounds, but also a band that infuses different styles into our powerful brand of heavy music.
Let’s face it: KAGED is a metal band. So you won’t be fed, dear reader, with the typical lines of clichéd band bio crap. The music speaks for itself. With influences such as Down, Alice In Chains, and Helmet, does anything else need to be said?
KAGED has begun creating a buzz in Western New York and surrounding regions, earning critical acclaim, media coverage (from print media to television), regional radio play, and vast popularity among a broad range of listeners and fans. KAGED’s live performances are a new experience for fans each and every time.
The band’s hard work is paying off--KAGED was named one of Buffalo’s Best Bands via a fan poll conducted by WEDG 103.3FM (THE EDGE) in Buffalo, New York. KAGED proudly appears on the station’s compilation CD. The band also has a charitable side, performing at charity events in Western New York for organizations such as The Layne Staley Fund for Heroin Recovery (the first such benefit held outside Seattle, Washington), the American Cancer Society, and Toys For Tots.
KAGED gives new meaning to the term “starving musicians.” When we’re not standing on street corners begging for change, we are busy writing and recording new material. Our latest offering is David’s Song, a 5-song EP released in Spring 2008. Tracks have started getting regional radio play. Hmmm...must be that The music speaks for itself. (Get it?)
What we’re saying is, all we know how to do is write music. Maybe that makes us societal misfits…and bad bio writers. (So save the world from such degenerates and book/sign/sleep with KAGED now.)
