Recorded, mixed, engineered, and mastered by Joe Koziarski at THE TRACK SHACK in Toledo, Ohio. I want to extend great gratitude to Joe for his hard work in setting up the musicians who play on this CD and his calm Christian spirit as he made the recording experience warm, relaxing and spiritual.

*The three songs Tom Warrington plays on were performed and recorded by Tom in Hollywood, California at TJW Soundboard. I owe a great debt of gratitude to Tom who has given his time and talent to these tunes. I treasure his long term Christian friendship from the very beginning when I was 17 years old --just out of high school when Tom witnessed to me about the gospel and the good news of Jesus Christ. "I Let The Lord" was written shortly after my deeper realization of John 3:16 and Ephesians 2:8.

I want to thank my wife Nancy for her warm joyful loving spirit as she is always tending to me and the growth of our three trees: Ben, Sam and Elijah. I also want to extend gratitude to Nancy’s parents-- Barb and Jim for their family values and generous Christian lives…and a heart felt feeling of gratitude to my parents –Betty and Ferd—who taught me the values of hard work and helping others.

My journey with Jesus began a few weeks after I graduated from high school at the age of 17. I was filled with questions about the meaning and purpose of my life and what the future held. I started reading a book by Billy Graham entitled: Peace With God. During the reading of the book, I also struck up evening conversations with a new friend Tom Warrington about the meaning of life. He told me the gospel story and how Jesus died for my sins. For some nights I continued to ask various questions and he answered using the Bible. Then one night it happened, I asked for the grace of God and I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior. What a refreshing joy to experience the free gift of Grace from God. Soon there after, I wrote the first song that I ever wrote called “I Let the Lord.” A year of so later, I wrote another song called “Lord Treat Me Kind.” Through the following years, I have written about 100 songs and a number of them are Christian songs based upon an experience or question I had about living the Christian life. For example, “Defeating the Seven Deadly Sins” came about after struggling with living the Christian life. Although we are save by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8) I still wondered why I still make the same stupid mistakes or slip and fall and do the things I don’t want to do per St. Paul (Romans 7:18-20). “I Love You Jesus” was written after earning a Ph.D. in Philosophy and Counseling. I had wandered away from the faith a bit attempting to test and answer various questions that emerged as I lived my life. I came out of the philosophical closet after some intense years of study and sampling the various offerings in the spiritual supermarket. I was comparing and contrasting Christianity with other philosophies and religions as I did not want to be told that I was naïve and simple minded for settling upon Jesus Christ so early in life. But now I know the traps and perils of human philosophy per (Colossians 2:8). I also realize that even though our human educational system espouses “believe in yourself,” “do your own thing,” “look out for #1,” and “follow your own dreams,” without Christ, many end up “Dreamin’ and Dreamin’” lost in a post modern nihilistic existential haze of “so wut?” or “if it feels good do it.” Many other people adopt the Stoic Epicurean philosophy of “you only got 75-80 years to live so have a ball.” I also realized that ultimately, I am not it control (even though society tells you that you are in control) and the song “Thy Will Be Done” attempts to express the insight I had of surrendering to God’s Will more fully. “ Island Friend” was written for my brother Jeff and his wife Margaret who moved to the American Virgin Islands a few years ago. They have taken my music to the British Virgin Islands and they have also shared five musical CD’s of my songs done by jazz pianist Bill Cunliffe. That song also serves as a benediction to Christians everywhere living on the fragile beautiful blue pearl –Island Earth. “The Three Trees” was written a few years after I read the little story in a church bulletin where I was dropping off my youngest son Elijah at preschool. I wondered if anyone had ever written a song about that wonderful American folk tale…I didn’t know, but I thought that I would give it a try. I hope that you like it. I hope that some of these songs help reinforce you in your relationship with Christ or help others come to know Jesus Christ as their personal savior. I pray that these songs radiate the love and joy of God’s Grace and that you to can sing “A Psalm of Gratitude for Grace.” I pray that you feel and hear it with the Holy Spirit. So get ready, set, and “Here We Go” on a musical journey with Jesus.
