A musical welcome to you. You have reached Dancetime With Linda & Roland. Now known as Dancetime With Linda as my dear Roland passed away on October 3, 2007. He was an inspiration to me and the lead song Rhyme and Reason is about Roland and life and death in general.
I''m Linda Herman and you are listening to a Roland V Accordion (FR7) midi to a Ketron SD3 sound module. This is my first cd with that combination. No tricks in this recording. What you hear is what I sound like live, in the flesh. Yep, that is me singing. Some describe my voice as sultry. I suppose they are right. It is the only voice I have.
I play music for ballroom dancing in the Los Angeles area and have been in this area since 1984. Originally I am from Solon, Iowa. That is a small town near Iowa City - Go Hawks!!! I have my Iowa roots but now live in a beautiful beach community called Seal Beach. Love to entertain my ballroom dance friends. Also love to golf and bicycle ride.
This is my seventh cd with CDBABY. I love CDBABY. They do a great job. My music can be described as melodic, danceable, square, midwest, ACCORDION, well you get the idea. I try to put a variety of tempos on my cd''s. All are great for dancing. That is my "niche" as some would say. Must be doing something right as I''ve been doing this since a junior in Solon High School and that was back in 1969. So hope you enjoy the tracks.
