Maximilian grew up in Des Moines, Iowa and began Triple Vision with guitarist Michael Tallman, and singer/songwriter Clint Sheehan. While only freshmen in high school they were already gigging around the Des Moines area. Later the three joined forces with bassist Ben Koester, percussionists Brian Ford and Eric Quiner, and drummer Josten Foley. Once acquainted, they formed Euforia. Euforia was a band which could only be described as "Swing Hippie African Barnyard Funk" After a high school career of gigging around Des Moines and Iowa City, Maximilian set off to Boulder to attend The University of Colorado where he mastered the sound of a singer songwriting solo acoustic artist. Now back in his home town he is performing in various bars and restaurants and occasionally gets to Iowa City for a show.
Maximilian is a performer that can qualify for a battle of the bands, without being in a band. As a solo singer and acoustic guitar act, similar to Bradley Nowell, Jason Mraz, G Love, and Jack Johnson, he’s got the energy to excite an unresponsive crowd into an attentive audience. His vocal style bares no resemblance as many vocalists inspire him. You can identify with his lyrics, and his melodies make you want to sing. Simplistic in nature and experienced in songwriting, he goes in through your ear hole and straight to your soul. He has a noticeable amount of feeling attached to every song he plays, and he transmits it to the crowd. As far as his “inventory” goes, Maximilian has a well-rounded repertoire and a love for music encompassing many genres and generations.
