Mike McClure began his career with the alt/country band "The Great Divide". He was the lead singer/lead guitar and main songwriter for the band. Ten years in the band and in out of major labels deals finally led him to taking the solo/independent route. He has been putting out albums and touring under The Mike McClure Band since 2002. This album was recorded with Joe Hardy at the Foam Box in Houston, which is the home of Billy F Gibbons and ZZ Top. McClure first became aware of Joe through his work with Steve Earle ( a huge influence). Later he would cross paths with him at the suggestion of Tony Brown. McClure was producing a CD for Cross Canadian Ragweed and Joe''s name was brought up when mixing time rolled around. McClure has produced all of Ragweed''s Cd''s as well as other Red Dirt artists such as Stoney LaRue and Jason Boland.
"Foam" runs the gamet from hard knuckle dragging rock to alt/country, with everything in between. MMB is currently finishing up a new album with Hardy at the helm titled "Did7".
