Martin Wardley was born in Accrington. He was raised and spent his initial formative years in Barrowford and Nelson, East Lancs. Music has been an ever-present inspiration and activity since then.
Shortly after leaving Nelson in his teens he moved to London where he spent almost two decades in a day job. During this time there were several collaborations with other musicians, occasionally recording and even more occasionally gigging his tunes.
He has now moved from the capital, headed west and resides on the outskirts of Bath where he is writing, recording and rehearsing in his rediscovered wealth of time and space.
Martin draws inspiration from an eclectic source but is lyrically draw to the darker elements of the human condition and thus is drawn to like writers and performers.
“Into the Abyss” is the next step and was recorded in Bath at Paranormal studies along with a number of local musicians - check the website for their details.
