Sharif spent most of his childhood listening to music and singing in the church choir to escape all the pain that he experienced in his childhood. For most of his adolescence, Sharif watched a popular local television show named "The Scene", which aired on WGPR-TV 62 in Detroit. It featured many talented artists, national and local. Sharif constantly listened to music and one day a song was played on the show that totally blew his mind. The Song was "Shari Vari", by the artist, A Number of Names". Sharif was inspired by that song and it set in motion, the will for him to make music. in high school he was involved in theater, talent contests and even auditioned to be a background singer for the Detroit recording artist, Carmen for the song "Throw Down", unfortunately he was not chosen, but the experience for Sharif was a one in a lifetime experience. Shortly after high school it led to studios to record demos to fulfill his passion of music. It led him to the path of many celebrated artists and producers. He did a unreleased project with well known artist Alton Miller as well as had another unreleased project mixed by Anthony Shakir. After many unsuccessful attempts to break into the electronic music industry, being rejected by many record companies, he started his own label, Sabadu and continues to release his music to this day.
