When Django Greenblatt-Seay invited Zach Heath to add percussion to his songs in 2006, Zach''s response, "Only if I can be the front man," came as no surprise. The fact that the subsequent band name stuck is another story.
The Omaha-based duo recorded It''s the Quits, with Tim Cich at Bassline Studio in May 2007. The Zach Heath enlisted the help of Jon Bleicher on upright bass and Django''s parents, Deborah Greenblatt (viola) and David Seay (harmonica) to help complete the six-track EP.
Bassist Brent "Jams" Peekenschneider joined the group in late 2007, and the band''s newest addition, keyboardist Stephani Hanson, finishes off a sound that has drawn comparisons to Death Cab for Cutie (only not as smart), The Good Life (only not as drunk) and the Super Bowl (only not as popular).
