The concept of this album was to create a snapshot to capture the energy, hard-playing creativity, and fun of a BlueBirds Big Band performance.
The addition of a horn section to the BlueBirds core group, makes the BlueBirds Big Band unique entity of its own. This live recording shows the Bluebirds in an atmosphere that allows them to stretch out and jam and bring new dimensions to their classic songs. As a bonus, the studio cut, Sleeping, is included.
