Clint Allred, a college-aged singer/songwriter based in Logan, Utah, is known for his clever songwriting style and unique sound that stems from his multi-instrumental ability. His influences contain everything from bluegrass to reggae, from punk rock to country. The stories behind his songs contain everything from heartbreak to laziness, from living in Kansas to trips in Idaho. It''s the type of music that originates in the backyard. After dropping out of piano lessons at a young age, he taught himself how to play the guitar when he was 15 and has been writing songs since he was 18. He began playing his music for others a few years later when he began performing local concerts with his friend and fellow songwriter Vaughn McFarlane. Over the summer of 2007, while working 3 jobs, Clint used his spare time to learn how to use some recording equipment he found and produced his own CD. "Coyotes Can Relate" was released in October of 2007 on his own label, Suede Davis Records. The CD features Vaughn McFarlane on guitar and vocals, Erick Westbroek on piano, Holly Anderson on cello, Casey Snider on harmonica, Devin McFarlane and Lindsey Spjute on vocals, with Clint recording the lead vocals and guitar, as well as bass, hand percussion, banjo, ukulele, mandolin, piano, and every other random instrument he happened to find. Between the true-to-life songs and the simple, unprocessed recordings the listener will find something truly genuine, something with which people can relate.
