Hi, we’re, “The Essentials.” Five extremely groovy people who produce a unique genre of music we like to call, “Original Classic Rock.” What is, “Original Classic Rock?” (We heard you asking yourself that, really!)
It’s simple, think back for a moment, no, beyond breakfast, beyond yesterday’s breakfast even. Heck, let’s go back to well before last Tuesdays lunch! (It was lousy anyhow) Back to a time when rock ‘n roll was about having fun. When the lyrics meant something, at least to you, when rhythm was king. When you couldn’t wait till you had the house to yourself so you could, “crank it up” and for a few minutes and at last, all alone, perhaps clad in nothing but your underwear, you could live out your rock ‘n roll dreams. That, in a nutshell is the type of music we strive to create.
So please come and join us on our unique musical voyage. Our new CD, some of it featured here, is the tangible result of our collective passions. There’s twelve songs in all, each a distinct vision of life and classic rock in itself.
Love songs like: “Can I Be Your Hero.” Good ol’ fashioned rockers like, “A Secret thing Called Love and, “Cigarettes and Lies.” Classic pop-rock returns with: “She Never Talks to Me.” And yes, heartfelt, meaningful ballads like, “Broken Heroes,” a song about the creative people in our lives who live on the fringe, and, “Bells of Freedom.” A powerful testimony to all those who’ve given their lives for our country. Remember: Freedom isn’t free, and the soldier doesn’t choose his circumstance, those in power do.
