My Story
My friendz call me Gagnez (pronounced GaHNyae). I''m a poet with big ideas.
I created a CD of Spoken Word Poetry and Hip Hop - called "The Beginning". I didn''t use one B*tch, H*oe, C*nt, Sl*t or any other degrading term primarily aimed at women. Nor did I shoot and kill every known black male in every hood known to man.
And my CD is still TIGHT!!!
My 2008 goal is to independently sell 100,000 copies of my self-produced CD within 365 days - generating $1.2 million dollars and becoming the FirstMySpaceMillionaire (IMHO:).
One of the arguments of young people is that they create degrading music because that''s what the people buy. That''s how they make their money.
By selling 100,000 copies of my CD independently and generating a million dollars - it sends a message to young people (and record companies) that it is now time to stop the madness. It says, you can make a damn good living by creating Hip Hop music that is not degrading but still sounds good.
