Although idol hand is relatively new to the Houston music scene, it''s members bring varying degrees of experience playing in Houston and Austin. Initially conceived as a cover band, idol hand immediately began writing original music once all five members were in place. Drawing from influences and personal experiences their music has a style that easily appeals to a wide array of audiences.
Formed in January of 2006, idol hand quickly found their identity through creating original music. There is an emphasis in the songwriting where all five member''s contributions share an equal weight. The chemistry that exists between the members allows them to write a brand of music where the whole is greater than the parts.
