TONE (Zhong Wei Jun) is a new Mandarin singer and songwriter in the Taiwanese music scene.
"Mother''s Phone Call" is TONE''s EP follow-up to his debut Mandarin album, "My 6:57AM". The song is dedicated to his own mother (as well as every mother in this world) as a gift of gratitude for her unconditional love, nurture, and support. The fusion of electric and acoustic guitars in this ballad create a fresh musical genre apart from any of his previous works.
TONE was born in Texas, USA and later moved to California where he earned a Bachelor''s of Electrical Engineering. From recording acoustic guitar tracks on a 4-track recorder in the 9th grade to performing in alternative rock bands in high school, TONE has been honing his drive for music songwriting and production for many years. Upon winning a Chinese music competiton in 2002, TONE began pursuing the art of pop and hip-hop production. His influences include Radiohead, The Beatles, John Lennon, Kanye West, and X Japan. From 2002-2006, TONE devoted much time and thought to crafting his debut Mandarin album.
