Music has surrounded Gezelle much of her life, so it was inevitable that she would find herself on the recording path. With the guidance of her mother at trained pianist, Gezelle has been singing since the age of 5. Her roots are in gospel, artistic influences from various other styles of music including classical, rhythm and blues, jazz and alternative. Gezelle''s sound comes from traditional gospel blended with today''s contemporary praise.
Gezelle created all of the nine songs featured on her first CD entitled, "Personal Praise", which also includes the collaborative works of her four siblings. The CD is a reflection of her innermost thoughts about praise, worship, thanksgiving, gratitude, encouragement and God''s word. Her renderings range from emotionally uplifting and heart-felt anthems to up beat, spiritually charged melodies of praise.
