The Ben Cina Trio was formed in the spring of 2005 when Robb Dies and Ben Cina came together to write music and dominate the music despot that is College Station. They soon enlisted the help of a drummer, Keegan Tooley, and began to play shows locally in assorted coffee shops and bars. They would go on to play together for almost a year throughout texas while mostly focusing their efforts in College Station. They would stay together for almost two years. After Keegan Graduated the Robb and Ben would add two new members into the fold, drummer, Brandon Turner and Bassist, Craig Priestmyier. Together even though four in number they would remain the Ben Cina Trio. They began to make a home playing in a few bars regularly in College Station and also playing twice at the Northgate Music Festival.
In February of 2008 they began recording their first album as a group. The album will be a five song EP that covers the last year and a half of writing that Robb and Ben have been doing. This album should be available for purchase sometime in the coming months.
