The songs on D.I.N.''s recently released debut You Burst Into Fire Reprise - DinArts 2008, are predominantly acoustic based. YBIFR features the track Sky (In The Name Of You), which was co-written and produced by Marc Nadjiwan. The song was directly instigated by a Native No-Uranium blockade dispute near Ottawa, Ontario. DIN was moved by the commitment of the Natives there to defend their land. The new version of YBIFR also includes two new acoustic recordings of Coals and a new song, Hey Old Man.
Other songs move away from external issues to internal ones, admitting truth about depression, anxiety and pain. D.I.N. has taken the risk to write and sing about these recent experiences directly and openly: "Depression and addiction run in my family, and I had a choice to rise above biology and conditioning, and that pubescent sense of being a victim, and to do something about it. I made absolutely sure I solved the problem." Songs like Coals & Sunburst express this search for hope.
After a 5 year odyssey in finding the right fit in players, DIN is now finalizing a new line-up, including Nadjiwan on lead guitar, Paul T on the box and Dave Buland on bass.
