Born Gerardo Bozoghlian in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Girair''s musical roots were well cemented at an early age. Finding singing to be his most instinctual calling, he nurtured his voice by attending musical conservatories where he would receive proper vocal instruction. His growing curiosity and eagerness for music led to the embrace of several instruments and to the appreciation of varying musical styles and genres. In 1991, Girair''s family migrated to the United States, where music became an integral part of his life. Finding it to be a pure and unfiltered channel for his emotions, Girair felt comfort in the reflection of himself and his life within his compositions.
With influences like The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, and Astor Piazzola, Girair''s music delves into experimentation. The basis of his music is emotion, and the intensity garnered from that emotion is transcribed into his lyrics, and becomes the framework of his arrangements. He calls his music Truth in Present Time, because the moment when a song is composed is entirely based on the extension of his reality. The music is honest and truthful, painful and insightful, joyous and glorious, real and inspiring. The purity of his music comes through his haunting, yet angelic voice. He relinquishes himself in every performance, and becomes an open book to understanding.
