Biography: Russell Scherer
Born in Maple Creek Sask. in 1945. Moved to Medicine Hat In 1947, Lived in Medicine Hat, Canada and area most of his Life…….From age 14 to 25 his life was a blur from drinking. Alcoholism ran on his fathers side of the family…..God only knows how many generations.
Russell called out to God in his early 20’s and was instantly delivered from smoking and foul language, but still struggled with alcohol for 2 more years. He Went to AA for approximately 1 year and discovered drinking was bad news for a lot of people. While reading the Bible, he read the story of Paul''s thorn, and trusted in Gods grace, one day at a time.
……..Russ is now sober at the time of this writing about 38 years.
Russ worked as a baker in his younger years and then switched to sales most of his life, and now semi-retired.
….God''s guidance has led him to write 60 + songs which he recorded on 5 different CDs and he hopes they will make a difference with someone, some where.
