Glenn Strickland
Glenn Strickland is a singer,songwriter,and guitarist based out of Lincoln, Nebraska.
His CD "In Praise of You" is a collection of songs about faith, hope, and inspiration.
His background in music has been as a singer and guitarist for rock bands from New York to Atlanta.
He embraced the Contemporary Christian style of music after attending a church service and listening to the messages in the music that was being performed by the church''s Praise Band.
He soon joined the church and also joined the Praise Band and has performed many of the songs live on this CD at church services. The songs were well received by the congregation.
Many members of the congregation were anxious to have these songs available to listen to. Glenn recorded this CD to fulfill this need. On January 27th,2005,Glenn performed selections of the songs from the CD at a CD release mini concert at his church. The concert was well attended.
Glenn''s influences include The Beatles, Elvis Presley,Eric Clapton,Johnny Cash,The Doobie Brothers,and Steely Dan.
Glenn mixes different styles of music such as Pop, Country, Blues, and Rock to get his message of Praise to the Lord across to his listeners.
He believes those who listen to this CD will find messages of love to the Lord they can always relate to and believe in.
