It is my distinct honor and joy to present this album about the Good, Good Life that I am blessed to live. The message of this album is one that I have come to embrace in my daily life. It is all very simple: God’s Spirit is aflame inside us and that gives us great power. God wants us to prosper, to thrive. As God’s children, we are entitled to the BEST God has to offer. Whatever trial we may be facing, we are going to be OK because Jesus Christ Himself faces it with us. We are surrounded by Angels. We are safe and protected so we do not need to be afraid. God has a future full of hope for us. Can there be a more comforting message? This is the joyful message God has for all of us. It is the message of this album. My hope is that as you listen you will sing along with a smile on your face.
This CD contains 13 original songs that I wrote over the years. My hope is that this CD conveys a message of joy, offering you, the listener, an opportunity to come to find and experience the “Good, Good Life” that God offers His people. My prayer is that as you listen to this album you will feel compelled to sing along with a big smile on your face and that a deep sense of joy and well-being with be yours.
Highlights of this CD include the title song “The Good, Good Life” which I wrote after I came to a realization that I have found the secret to joy, the secret to the best life. Joy and life come through lives lived in Faith surrounded by loving friends and family. The message of the title song is summed up in the lyrics, “There’s nothing like the strength when we make each other strong. We point each other to the light, to a future clear and bright, the good, good life just goes on and on.”
Other songs include “We’ll Be There Soon,” a ballad I wrote for close friends anticipating their adoption of a little girl from China, “I’m A Child of the Most High,” a joy-filled tune written for a close friend who overcame a difficuly medical situation and “My Beautiful Wife,” a tribute to my wife Elizabeth.
The CD was recorded by Seth Alexander at SRA Studios in Scotch Plains. The album features accompaniments by well-known guitarist John Carlini, mandolin expert Ron Stiernberg, keyboard artist Ted Brancato, drum and percussion specialist John Ferrari and background vocalist Mark Filoramo (my brother).
