Fletcher-Marsh. Where did it start?
It started in 6th Grade in Mrs. Wood’s homeroom. That’s where Brian Marsh and Matt Fletcher met.
By 8th grade, they were digging the Beatles together, making up a rock band they’d both be in (it was called “Illusion”. It had a WICKED cool logo. Okay, maybe not. But it seemed like it at the time).
In 10th grade, they were in their own, real, performing rock band. They were not exceptionally good. But they were rockin’. Rollin’. And writing original songs together. Two of their proudest compositions were nearly note-for-note rip offs of two different Kiss and Styx songs. That was okay.
The collaboration continued under many names. And after college when they each got married and started families (just to be absolutely clear, they did not marry each other), the writing and recording continued.
The songs are better. The playing is better. The singing is better (mostly). There isn’t currently a logo, but when there is… it ought to be better, too. We’ll see.
This is Fletcher-Marsh, baby.
